He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Telecommunications Company, representing the government, since July 15, 2020.

He has 19 years of experience in the field of communications, operating submarine cable systems, international communications networks and the Internet.

He held the position of Assistant Minister for International Information Infrastructure at the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology between 2020 and 2023. He also held several positions at PCCW Global in the UAE, including: Executive Vice President of Global Submarine Cable Infrastructure between 2019 and 2020, Executive Vice President of Cable Innovations, Planning and Management between 2018 and 2020, and Vice President of Submarine Cable Development in Africa, the Middle East and Europe between 2016 and 2018.

He held several positions at Telecom Egypt , including: Head of International Business Unit between 2014 and 2016, General Manager of International Business Development between 2008 and 2014, Operations and Maintenance Supervisor for Huawei Next Generation Networks between 2006 and 2008, Communications Project Manager at Encom between 2003 and 2004, and Production Engineer at Hi-Tech Novell between 2002 and 2003.

He holds an MBA in 2013 from the Scandinavian International Business School in Denmark, and a BSc in Communications Engineering in 2001 from Al-Azhar University in Egypt.
