He has been Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Khalifa Excellence Award since 2000, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mubarak & Brothers Financial and Real Estate Investments Company , Ajyad Capital Company in Bahrain, and the German-Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce since 2009.

He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Fahim Group between 2000 and 2014, Managing Director of the Group’s Automotive Sector between 1987 and 2000, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Bank.

He holds an honorary doctorate in business administration in 1995 from the University of Shendi in Sudan, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University in the United States of America.
