President of the “ Arab Tourism Organization ” affiliated with the “Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism”, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is the Chairman of the Joint Advisory Council between the Organization and the “Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait”, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Arab Academy for Tourism”, the General Supervisor of the Arab Tourism Vision and Strategy in the “Arab Tourism Organization”, and the General Supervisor of Arab Cooperation in the Field of International Tourism, commissioned by “ The Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism in the League of Arab States, the general supervisor of the program for selecting Arab tourism capitals, and the general supervisor of the Arab Forum for Tourism Investment and the Tourism Security Forum. He is also the general supervisor of issuing the Arab Tourist Card and credit cards for Arab tourists, a founding member of the “King Salman Center for Disability Research,” and a member of the “Sudanese Equestrian Federation,” the “Union of Arab Contractors,” and the “Society for Disabled Children.” He chaired the National Committee for Hajj, Umrah and Tourism for the fourth and fifth sessions, and served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the American University for Culture and Education in Beirut. He participated and supervised more than 100 conferences, forums, and workshops concerned with the growth and development of the tourism sector at the regional and global levels. He also supervised more than 400 tourism events and festivals between the capitals of Arab countries. He served as a member of the Supreme Advisory Council of the “General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage” at the beginning of its establishment, and a member of the National Project for Human Resources Development in Tourism in the same authority. He received many medals, including the “Medal of Merit and Excellence” from the President of the State of Palestine, the “Medal of the Two Nile” from the President of the Republic of Sudan, and the “Arab Union Medal for Voluntary Work,” in addition to the purple ribbon and the Medal of Merit for Wise Leadership for the year 2014 from the “Takweet Academy for Excellence Awards.” “At the Arab level, and the “International Tourism Award - Golden Rudder” in 2008 at the world level, and the “Gold Medal” from the Republic of Yemen, in addition to granting him an honorary doctorate from the “American University of Technology” in Beirut for his efforts in supporting Arab tourism. He holds a doctorate in the philosophy of total quality from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
