He is the founder and chairman of the board of directors of “ Al Hilal Group ”, chairman of the board of directors of “Dana Gas ”, chairman of the board of directors of “Gulftainer Limited”, chairman of the finance committee and member of the board of trustees of “ American University of Sharjah ”.

He is also the founder of the UAE chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and the World Presidents Organization (WPO), a founding shareholder of the Orouk Group, a member of the International CEO Organization (CEO), and a member of the Board of Governors of the Pearl Initiative .

He has a number of other business activities, including container shipping, container terminal management, port logistics, real estate investment, power generation, private equity, land freight and other industrial activities, and is involved in a range of charitable activities and supports charities concerned with disabled and underprivileged children and cancer treatment.

He holds a Master’s degree in Thermodynamics and Fluid Flow Engineering from Churchill College, University of Cambridge, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in 1967 from the same university.
