Board member of Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group since October 2006, United Arab Emirates.

She is the head of marketing in the same group, and is a member of the board of directors of the Dubai Shopping Malls Group and a member of the board of governors of the Dubai College of Tourism.

She held the position of Executive Director of the Strategic Partnerships Sector at the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Design and Fashion Council, Executive Director of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, and Chair of the Women’s Sports Committee at the Dubai Sports Council. She was also part of the team that launched the Dubai Shopping Festival in 1996.

She participated in the judging panel for the Retail ME Icons awards for the retail sector in the Middle East and North Africa region in 2021.

Laila received the Special Excellence Award from the Dubai Government Excellence Program in 2015.

She obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration from London Business School in 2019.
