He is the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of “ Bank of Africa ”, which represents about 16% of the banking activity in Morocco, and the Chairman of the economic group “FinanceCom”, which monitors about 25% of the insurance market in Morocco through the “National Insurance Company” and the “Royal Insurance Company”, which merged under the name “National Insurance Company”, and he has also chaired the “Professional Group of Moroccan Banks” since 1995.

He started his career in trade with his brother Omar, the exclusive agent for the Swedish company Volvo in Morocco. The Benjelloun brothers’ business expanded to form a giant industrial group with diverse activities.
