A Saudi businessman of Palestinian origin.

He is the founder of the Palestine Stock Exchange, Cairo Amman Bank in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Rum Agricultural Company in Jordan, and Ayla Oasis Real Estate Development Company.

He is also the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Supply and Trade Corporation (Astra) since 1996, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “ Arab Bank Group ” since 2012, “Astra Food Company” since 2012, “ Astra Industrial Group ” since 2007 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Palestine Telecommunications Group “Paltel”, “Zara Investment Holding Company” in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, “Hajj Taher Al-Masry Company” in Palestine, “Sikon Building Materials Company” in the United Arab Emirates, and “Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation” in Jordan.

He holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Trustees of both the “Palestine International Award for Excellence and Creativity” and “An-Najah National University”, and is a member of the Board of Directors of both the Palestine Development and Investment Company “Padco Holding” in Palestine, and a member of the Board of Trustees of “Fahd Bin Sultan University” in Saudi Arabia.

He held several positions in the Palestine Investment Fund, including Vice Chairman, Chairman of the Nominations Committee, and Member of the Funds Investment Committee. He was also Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Bank Group, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Bank - Switzerland.

King Abdullah II awarded him the "Independence Medal, First Class" in 2016.

In addition to Saudi and Palestinian nationalities, he holds Jordanian and Lebanese nationalities.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering in 1963 from the University of Texas in the United States of America.
