Yasar Ibrahim is subject to US, UK and EU economic sanctions. He is accused of running a number of companies in the name of former President Bashar al-Assad and his wife.

According to the records of the Syrian Ministry of Economy, Yasar Ibrahim is:

• Director and founding partner of “ Al Burj Investment Company ”, where he owns 50% of the company’s capital.
• Director and founding partner of “ Ziyara Tourism Company ”, where he owns 2,500 shares in the company, representing 50%, valued at 2,500,000 Syrian pounds.
• Founding partner in “YouTel Company” in the Syrian Arab Republic, where he owns 500 shares in the company, at a rate of 50%, valued at 50,000,000 Syrian pounds.
• General Manager and founding partner of “ Al-Ahd Trading and Investment Company ”, where he owns 500 shares in the company, at a rate of 50%, valued at 500,000 Syrian pounds.
• Director and founding partner of “ Central Cement Company ”, where he owns 4,500 shares in the company, representing 9%, valued at 4,500,000 Syrian pounds.
• Director and founder of “ Bazar Company ”, where he owns 2,000 shares in the company, representing 33.33%, worth 2,000,000 Syrian pounds.
• Representative of “Castle Invest Holding Private Joint Stock Company”, and member of the Board of Directors of “ Zubaidi Qala’i ZK Development Company ”.
