Modon was established in 2005, and is the real estate arm of the "Al-Handal International Group".

The company's focus is on real estate development, and its most notable projects are:

• Burouj: which extends over an area of 290,727 square meters in the city of Baghdad, and includes 3,800 residential units, 31 towers, a 5-star hotel, a commercial mall, running and cycling tracks, in addition to vast green spaces.
• La Vida: Located in Baghdad, it extends over an area of 17,500 square meters, and includes 285 residential units and 3 towers.
• Future City: The city aims to respond to the urgent need for new affordable housing units in Baghdad, and will include plots of land allocated for one family in addition to residential plots allocated for several families. The project contains retail stores, all necessary community facilities and a green network. Public libraries are also available, along with facilities for walking and cycling.
• Madinaty: Located in the city of Kirkuk, with an area of 760,800 square meters, and includes 1,720 residential units, in addition to educational, commercial, and service centers, gardens, parks, and mosques.
• Bayti: It is located in the city of Tikrit, the center of Salah al-Din Governorate, north of the capital. It is a residential villa project, which includes 1,398 units, educational and service centers, and commercial markets, and extends over an area of 791,900 square meters.

In October 2023, the company, through the “Burouj” Hotel and “La Vida” Towers, won the “International Property Award” Award for Best Architectural Design in the Hotel and Residential Towers Categories, where the “Burouj Hotel” won the “Best Hotel Architectural Design” Award, while "La Vida" won the award for "Best Architectural Design for High-rise Residential Towers".
