He was an advisor to the Financial Compliance Department at the Dubai Multi Commodities Center between 2015 and 2017, director of the same department between 2006 and 2015, director of the Compliance and Risk Management Department at the Arab International Bank between 2002 and 2006, and head of banking operations at the same bank between 1990 and 2006. He holds a master’s degree in financial business administration in 1985 from the American University in Cairo , and a bachelor’s degree in 1973 from Ain Shams University .
