He has more than 20 years of experience in the transportation sector across both domestic and international levels. Throughout his career, he has contributed to advancing Saudi Arabia's public transportation ecosystem and strengthening SAPTCO's position as an integrated mobility solutions provider in support of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Under his leadership, SAPTCO has expanded its operations through strategic partnerships with international mobility operators and the development of an integrated portfolio of transportation services, including public transport, school transportation, shared mobility, and smart mobility solutions incorporating autonomous vehicle technologies and digital platforms. He also played a key role in establishing international operating partnerships, most notably with RATP Dev, resulting in the formation of Capital Metro Company (CAMCO) and the consortium's successful award of the contract to operate and maintain two lines of the Riyadh Metro as part of the King Abdulaziz Public Transport Project. In addition, he oversaw the establishment of  Public Transport Company (PTC) and the award of the contract to operate and maintain the Riyadh Bus network.

He has further led the development of smart and sustainable mobility solutions in collaboration with technology partners and major national projects, including NEOM, Red Sea Global, Qiddiya, and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), through the deployment of autonomous mobility technologies, real-time navigation systems, and data-driven digital solutions based on demand and traffic analytics.

He served as President of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), the only global network representing all public transport stakeholders, with more than 1,800 organizations across over 100 countries and more than 16,000 members. He was the first Arab and only the second non-European to lead the association in its more than 135-year history. 

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
