He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aluminium Bahrain Company (Alba ) since October 9, 2023, and Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah) since December 2017, and a member of the Board of Directors of McLaren Group since September 2019, Bapco Energy Company since May 2019, and the Bahrain Economic Development Board .

He is also a member of the Harvard Business School Middle East and North Africa Advisory Board.

He held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of both “Bahrain Airport Company” and “Bahrain Development Bank”, and was a member of the Board of Directors of “Gulf Air Company” and “SICO” Securities and Investment Company.

He served as CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company between September 2019 and April 2023, CEO of Bahrain Economic Development Board between March 2015 and August 2019, CEO of Investcorp Bank between 2002 and 2012, and Head of Private Sector Clients Group in the Gulf Region at JPMorgan Chase Bank between 1993 and 2002.

He holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Global Economics from Harvard Kennedy School in the United States of America in 1993, and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Missions from Georgetown University in the United States in 1991.
