Director of Procurement and Contracts at the Higher Colleges of Technology since November 2018, United Arab Emirates. He holds the file of transformation and change for the procurement and contracts sector at the Higher Colleges of Technology to keep pace with the national agenda of the country and the ambitious agenda of the colleges "HCT 4.0" to keep pace with the fourth industrial revolution. Al-Alawi led his team in 2021 to receive the "Best Entity in the Middle East and Africa" award from the "Royal Institute of Purchasing and Supply" in the United Kingdom in the category of flexibility in supply chain and purchasing operations. He also obtained the special accreditation for global professional ethics in the field of procurement from the same institute, so that the Procurement and Contracts Department at the Higher Colleges of Technology bears the globally recognized professional ethics mark. He has also been a member of the Board of Trustees of the "Liwa International School for Girls" in the Emirates since 2017, and a member of many international committees and associations such as: "International Purchasing Association", "International Facility Management Association", and "Institute for Business Sustainability". He has experience in many fields including project management, leading multinational teams, leading offshore operations, and transformation management. He has experience in building new departments and teams, managing rationalization and optimal use of resources. He held several positions at the Applied Technology Institute , including: Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts and Procurement Manager, Operations Manager, and several positions at the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute , including: Chairman of the Transformation Committee between 2017 and 2018, Operations Manager between 2016 and 2018, Acting Director of Support Services during 2017, Senior Director of Operations between 2012 and 2016, Acting Senior Director of Information Technology between 2013 and 2014, Contracts Manager between 2011 and 2012. He was assigned to manage the support services of the Nasser Center for Vocational Rehabilitation and Training in the Kingdom of Bahrain since its establishment in 2014 until 2018. Al-Alawi received many awards from several bodies, as he received the "Sheikh Rashid Award for Scientific Excellence" in 2007 in addition to winning the "Supervisory Jobs Award" at the level of the "Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training" in 2017, and he also received the "Best "Employee" for the years 2006 and 2008 at the level of the Supply Authority in the "United Arab Emirates Armed Forces". He holds a Master's degree in International Business in 2007 from the " University of Wollongong in Dubai ", a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in E-Commerce in 2004 from the " Higher Colleges of Technology ", in addition to a Higher Diploma in Business Administration. He also holds an "ISO" certificate in management and is a certified assessor.
