CEO and Vice Chairman of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation since March 2022, State of Kuwait.

He held the position of Acting CEO of Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) between 2013 and 2022, and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the same company, and chaired KPC Holdings Aruba between February 4, 2019 and March 16, 2022.

He also held several positions at the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, most notably: Deputy Managing Director and General Counsel, Director of the Corporation’s office in Washington between 2002 and 2004, Senior Legal Advisor in the Corporate Legal Affairs Department between 1999 and 2002, and was a lawyer specializing in acquisitions and mergers at Dunn & Crusher in Los Angeles, and a member of the Board of Directors of MEGlobal in Kuwait, and Kuwait Petroleum International.

He holds a Doctor of Laws degree from Harvard Law School, and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Princeton University in the United States of America.
