Member of the Federal National Council for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi since November 12, 2019, United Arab Emirates. He is Vice President of the Federal Demographics Council, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Identity Authority. He served as Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and held many memberships in councils and bodies, including: the Board of Directors of the Gulf Radio and Television Authority, the Joint Program Production Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council , and the General Authority for Pensions and Social Security between 2008 and 2010. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Qualifications Authority and the Arab Labor Organization, and a member of the Ministerial Council for Development . He was appointed Minister of Labor in 2008, and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the United States of America between 2005 and 2008. He held several positions, including Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Media Council, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior between 1991 and 1998, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information between 1998 and 2005. Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Human Resources Development and Employment Authority, and Director General of the Abu Dhabi Police College between 1984 and 1991. He also held the position of Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Interior between 1976 and 1983, and Vice President of the UAE Football Association in the periods between 1986 and 1990, and 1996 and 1998. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management in 1986 from the United Arab Emirates University , graduated in 1973 from the Police College in Sudan, and obtained a diploma in law from the same college.
