General information
Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) was established in the United Arab Emirates in 1979. As a result of the merger between Dubai Aluminium (DUBAL) and Emirates Aluminium (EMAL), EGA is now one of the world's largest primary aluminium producers, accounting for approximately 4% of global production and half of the GCC's aluminium output.
Owned jointly by Mubadala Investment Company and Dubai Holding, which is owned by the Investment Corporation of Dubai, EGA is the largest industrial company in the UAE outside of the oil and gas sector.
