Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hawkamah Institute since 2019, United Arab Emirates.

He is the managing director of Hassan Bin Sheikh Group of Industries and a board member of the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority.

He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of: the Dubai International Arbitration Centre, Ducab, Ducab HV, the Dubai International Print Award, the Printing and Publishing Group, and Hassan Bin Sheikh Group of Industries. He was also Chairman of the Advisory Board of the College of Administrative Sciences at the University of Dubai and General Manager of the Modern Printing Press.

He was also Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ducab and Emirates Islamic Bank, and a member of the Board of Directors of the General Pensions and Social Security Authority, the Dubai Economic Council, Dubai Municipality and Dubai Exports.

He holds a PhD in Economics from Coventry University in 2012, a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom in 1993, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the United Arab Emirates University in 1984.
