Through his Current role, Al Ahbabi leads a diversified investment group with a portfolio exceeding AED 1 billion. The group’s activities span real estate, hospitality, education, financial advisory, asset management, artificial intelligence, and the automotive sector, in addition to international investments and strategic partnerships.
He currently serves on the boards of several local and international companies and institutions. He is a member of the Global
Board of Directors of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in the United States, becoming the first Emirati to hold this position. He is also a member of the IMA Regional Advisory Committee for the Middle East and Africa and acts as an advisor to the institute’s Abu Dhabi Chapter.
Al-Ahbabi is also a member of the Forbes Business Council and the GCC Board Directors Institute, and he chairs the Empowerment Committee at the Emirates Entrepreneurship Association. Amer actively participates in regional and global dialogues on finance, governance, leadership, and organizational development, representing the UAE on distinguished international platforms.

Amer Al Ahbabi is the Chairman of Vertix Holdings, where he provides strategic leadership to a diversified investment group with activities spanning multiple sectors. He brings extensive professional experience in corporate governance, internal audit, risk management, and strategic leadership, with a consistent focus on institutional discipline, sustainability, and long-term value creation. Al Ahbabi holds several regional and international professional roles. Most notably, he serves as a Global Board Member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), becoming the first Emirati to assume this position, and as a member of the Regional Advisory Committee for the Middle East and Africa. He has also been appointed as the Internal Audit Ambassador for the United Arab Emirates for 2026 and serves as Chairman of the Internal Audit Review (IAR), a specialized platform advancing internal audit thought leadership across the region.
