She assumed the position of Head of the Immunisation Department at the Ministry of Health and Prevention , and served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Ras Al Khaimah University of Medicine and Health Sciences , and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Human Health Education and Research Foundation, Avivo Group , and the Pakistani Association in Dubai.

She was a candidate for the Federal National Council elections for the Emirate of Dubai in 2019.

She held a number of positions at the Dubai Health Authority, including:

• Executive Director of the Health Policy and Strategy Sector.
• Acting Executive Director of the Supporting Medical Services Sector.
• Director of the Health Funding Department.
• Director of the Transformation Program for the Emirate of Dubai.
• Director of the Planning and Statistics Department.

She was also responsible for developing policies and legislation for the health system in the Emirate of Dubai through the Dubai Strategic Plan (DSP), and chaired the Dubai Medical Tourism Initiative, which was launched in 2012.

She has received numerous awards, including: the Feigenbaum Award for Leadership Excellence in 2011 in the Women Leaders category, the Dubai Government Excellence Award in the Employee Excellence category in 2009, and the Sheikh Rashid Scientific Excellence Award in 2008.

She has experience in the healthcare sector, strategic planning, health insurance systems and finance.

She holds a Master's degree in Executive Healthcare Management from Zayed University (2007) and a Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management from Kuwait University (1990).
