Executive Expert and Advisor at the Agency for Technology Foresight and Digital Economy at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology since September 2023, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

She has been a faculty member at George Mason University in the United States of America since May 2018.

She served as Head of the Artificial Intelligence and Bioinformatics Department at King Abdullah International Medical Research Center ( KAIMRC ) from 2020 to 2023, and was an Associate Research Scientist at the same center from 2017 to 2023.

She also held several positions at the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, including: Director of Human Resources Systems between 2008 and 2010, Database Manager between 2005 and 2008, and Database Specialist between 1997 and 2005.

She was ranked among the "MIT Technology Review's Top Arab AI Experts 2022."

She holds a PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from George Mason University in 2017, a Master's in Health Informatics from King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in 2007, and a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Information from King Saud University .
