Director General of NAMA Women Advancement since February 25, 2025, United Arab Emirates.

She is also a member of the Advisory Board of The Big Heart Foundation.

Mariam served as Vice Chairperson of the Executive Committee at NAMA Women Advancement.

Maryam joined The Big Heart Foundation in 2012, was appointed as the Foundation’s Director in 2017, and became its Director General in 2023 until 2025. During her tenure, she led the implementation of several humanitarian and development projects implemented by the Foundation in partnership with the Nama Women Advancement Foundation. 

Under Mariam's leadership, TBHF through its humanitarian projects and initiatives, has supported the journeys of over 4 million people across more than 25 countries 

Maryam started her career in 2008 as a Credit Risk Officer at Emirates Airlines, a role she held for four years,  She then made a bold decision to transition from the financial sector to the humanitarian and development fields.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Higher Colleges of Technology in 2007.
