He is the Director General of the Emirates News Agency ( WAM ), a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Media Award , a member of the Executive Office of the International Federation of Journalists, and a member of the Arab Journalists Union .

He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Journalists Association , Editor-in-Chief of Al-Roya Newspaper , Assistant President of the Arab Journalists Union, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Journalism Award, a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Human Rights Commission , the Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award, a member of the Advisory Council of the National Media Council, the College of Media at the University of Sharjah , and an Assistant member of the teaching staff of the Higher Colleges of Technology .

He also served as President of the "Jisr International Center for Media and Development" in Geneva, and held several positions at " Abu Dhabi Media Company ," including:

• Executive Director of Editing and Publishing.
• Director of the Public Services Affairs Department.
• Editor-in-Chief of the Arabic version of "National Geographic" magazine, which he founded.
• The company's regional manager in Saudi Arabia.
• Director of New Publications.
• Director of Specialized Publishing.

He held several positions at Al Ittihad newspaper , including: Editor-in-Chief, Head of the Local and Economic Affairs Unit, Editor of the "People's Opinion" page, Journalist in the Local News Department, Daily Columnist, Weekly Political Article Writer, and was a member of the restructuring team of the Emirates Media Foundation, and participated in the founding of the Arab Youth Leadership Organization .

He has published more than 3,000 articles on local and international issues, and has released three books: “The Fall of the Brotherhood” in 2016, “The Democracy of the Emirates” in 2009, and “The Time of Ordeal” in 2008.

He won the “Pioneer of the Emirati Article” award in 2026, the “Taryam Omran Journalism Award” for the best journalistic article in 2003, the “Distinguished Journalist Award” from the “ Dubai Press Club ” in 2001, and the “Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum Award for Scientific Excellence” in 1995.

He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Mass Communication from the United Arab Emirates University in 1994.
