President of Qatar University since June 18, 2023, State of Qatar.

He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the same university, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Qatari Human Resources Solutions Company ( Josoor ).

He held several positions and assignments at Qatar University, including: Vice President for Academic Affairs from 2015 to 2023, Vice President for Student Affairs from 2007 to 2015, Assistant Vice President from 2004 to 2009, Dean of the College of Engineering for Student Affairs from 2003, Academic Programs Coordinator from 2001 to 2003, and Teaching Assistant in the Civil Engineering Department.

He has over 20 years of academic and administrative experience, having worked on numerous projects and research projects, and participated in committees at the university and national levels, such as the Qatar University Development Project and the Certificate Equivalency Committee. He was also a member of several associations and unions in the fields of education and engineering.

He holds a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in the United States of America in 1999, a Master's degree in the same field from the same university in 1993, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Qatar University in 1990.
