He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jabal Omar Development Company since June 30, 2021, and a member of the Board of Directors of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Charitable Foundation “MiSK Charity”.

He held the position of CEO and Managing Director of “Saudi National Bank” between 2021 and 2023, and chaired the board of directors of “Manga Production Company”, “Turkish Finans Katilim Bankasi” in Turkey, “Al-Ahli Capital Company” and the Saudi Credit Bureau “SIMAH” between 2017 and 2020, and “National Commercial Bank”, which later merged with “Samba Financial Group” under the name “Saudi National Bank”.

He started his career as a computer engineer at the Saudi Ministry of Defense and Aviation, then held several positions at Al Rajhi Bank, including Chief Information Officer, Chief Operating Officer, General Manager of the Retail Banking Group, and Executive Vice President.

Al-Ghamdi headed the team that established Al Rajhi Bank in Malaysia and the bank’s branches in Kuwait and Jordan. He was a member of the board of directors of Al Rajhi Financial Company, Al Rajhi Takaful Company, and Al Rajhi Bank Malaysia.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 1987 from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
