She has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Kuwait since July 2019, a member of the Advisory Board of the Dubai Chambers since February 2025, a member of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) since August 2024, and a member of the Dubai Future Fellowship since April 2023.

She served on the boards of United Arab Bank and Bahrain FinTech Bay, and was Managing Director and Head of Alvarez & Marsal's Middle East office, as well as a Director of Engagement at McKinsey & Company.

She was also a partner at Bain & Company and a research assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States.

Forbes magazine ranked her among the "100 Most Powerful Businesswomen in the Middle East" for 2023, and among the "50 Most Powerful Businesswomen in the Middle East" for 2022.

She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2005, and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University in 2000.
