She was responsible for developing several initiatives within the Dubai Government, including developing an ecosystem for technology entrepreneurship and innovation.

She served as Acting Commercial Attaché at the UAE Embassy in London in 1997.

She won the Arab Women of the Year Award in London in 2015, the Emirates Women Award in 2013, and the United Nations Award for Best Woman Contribution to Business Development and International Trade in 2004. Forbes Middle East magazine also ranked her among the most powerful Arab women in 2016 and 2017.

She holds a Master's degree in International Business from London South Bank University in the United Kingdom, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the United Arab Emirates University .
