Ruler of the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, Member of the Supreme Council of the Federation since January 2, 2009, United Arab Emirates. He served as Crown Prince of Fujairah between 1982 and 2009, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Umm Al Quwain Gas Company and Umm Al Quwain Cement Industries Company, Chairman of the Fujairah Crown Prince’s Court between 1979 and 1982, and Commander of the National Guard in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain between 1977. And 1979, and third secretary in the “ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation ” between 1973 and 1977. He founded the National Bank of Umm Al Quwain and was Chairman of its Board of Directors. He holds a BA in Economics in 1974 from Cairo University.
