Iraqi banker and entrepreneur.

He has served as Chairman of the Board of The International Development Bank since 2015 and is the Founder and Chairman of ZK Holding Group in Abu Dhabi. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Union of Arab Banks.

In addition, he is a Board Member of the World Union of Arab Bankers, a Member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – UAE, and a Member of the Board of Trustees of The Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences.

Throughout his career, he has received multiple regional and international recognitions, including:

• Arab Tourism Medal (First Class) from the Arab Tourism Organization (2024), in recognition of his contribution to expanding business activities in Iraq and strengthening Arab economic cooperation;
• Most Distinguished Businessman in Finance and Business Award at the First Arab Forum for Banks and Businessmen (Beirut, 2023), for supporting innovative strategies;
• International Award in Economics and Banking Management from the Arab-European Center of Human Rights and International Law (AECHRIL) (2021);
• Arab Investor Award (2019), for applying corporate governance standards;
• Fastest Growing Bank in Iraq Award from the Global Banking & Finance Awards (Dubai, 2019);
• Best Bank in Achieved Business Results Award from Mastercard Worldwide (2017);
• Excellence and Wise Management Award from the Princess Taghreed Foundation for Development and Training (2017);
• Most Innovative and Progressive Bank Award from the Union of Arab Banks (2016).

He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Financial and Banking Sciences from the International University in London, in recognition of his contributions to the financial sector. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Technology, Baghdad.
