Abdullah AlOthaim Markets Company was established on May 21, 1980, and is listed on the Saudi stock exchange (Tadawul) since July 14, 2008. The company's main activity is in the wholesale and retail sale of food and consumer goods, such as soap, detergents, household items, and children's toys.
The company also manages and operates recreational centers, bakeries, and training centers, in addition to purchasing investment lands for the company. The company owns more than 183 branches in Saudi Arabia and 31 branches in Egypt.
Forbes Middle East magazine ranked it among the list of "500 Strongest Arab Companies" in 2014, and it is considered the second largest central markets chain in terms of sales after Panda Retail Company, a subsidiary of Savola Group.
It has several subsidiaries, including: Haley Holding Company, Global Marketing Center Company, Mueen Recruitment Company, Marafeq Al Tashgheel Company, Thamarat Al Qassim Company among others.
