Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, commonly known as the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce, was founded on December 8, 1976, in Bonn, Germany, as a non-profit organization. On August 1, 2000, its headquarters moved to Berlin, and on August 27, 2007, it was officially registered as a Chamber of Commerce.

Room objectives:

• Strengthening economic relations between Arab countries and Germany.
• Providing a platform for networking and exchanging business opportunities between businesspeople and institutions from both sides.
• Organizing events such as conferences, forums and trade missions to promote economic cooperation.

In order to achieve these goals, the Chamber specifically works on carrying out the following tasks:

• Introducing Arab and German products and services and holding exhibitions to encourage trade exchange.
• Organizing forums, conferences and other activities with the aim of introducing the performance capabilities of the Arab and German economies and the characteristics of their products and services.
• Collecting and regularly publishing the texts of laws and any other instructions in force in Arab countries and in the Federal Republic of Germany that are related to the Chamber's field of work.
• Documenting information and issuing publications that deal with data on the economies of Arab countries and the Federal Republic of Germany.
• Providing relevant authorities in Arab countries and Germany with information on the economic, trade, and investment situations in each country. This activity also includes raising awareness about problems in bilateral economic relations and proposing solutions.
• Publishing tenders and their conditions issued by Arab and German authorities and companies, and facilitating access to them for those wishing to submit bids from both sides.
• Providing assistance to facilitate official transactions related to economic exchange between Arab countries and the Federal Republic of Germany.
• Encouraging and developing joint Arab scientific and cultural institutions.
• Encouraging mutual tourism between Arab countries and the Federal Republic of Germany.
• Providing assistance within the framework of investment projects.
