Acting Associate Vice Chancellor for Scientific Research at United Arab Emirates University , United Arab Emirates.

He is an Associate Professor of Hydrogeology at the Faculty of Science at the same university, and a member of the Open Science Advisory Committee at UNESCO, representing the Arab region.

He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the International Center for Integrated Water Resources Management, Vice President of the Arabian Peninsula Environmental Advisors Network since 2011, a member of the Arab Alliance for Environmental Sciences since 2010, and a member of the Water Science and Technology Association since 2011.

He has more than 15 years of experience in the field of science, working with international scientific institutions and participating in the scientific and technical activities of UNESCO. He was selected by the Secretariat of the International Hydrological Programme (IHP) of the organization to be a member of the working group to develop a strategy for implementing the objectives of the International Hydrological Programme for the eighth session.

He also served as Dean of the College of Science at the United Arab Emirates University for up to 4 years, was a member of the Finance Committee of the International Hydrological Programme between 2010 and 2012, and a member of the Emirates Council of Scientists.

He has many published scientific papers in addition to participating in more than 50 international and local scientific conferences.

He received the Alumni Achievement Award from the Department of Geological Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences at Western Michigan University in 2017.

He holds a PhD in Hydrogeology in 2004 from Western Michigan University in the United States of America.
