President of the Lebanese American University since October 1, 2024, Republic of Lebanon.

He has been a professor of electrical and computer engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States since September 2018, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Sharjah and Georgia Advanced Technology Ventures.

He served as Executive Vice President for Research at the Georgia Institute of Technology and President of the University of New Mexico in the United States.

He has authored more than 360 research papers in the fields of systems, control systems, communications, and computing.

He holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1988, a Master's degree in the same field from the same institute in 1982, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Youngstown University in the United States of America in 1981.
