Prime Minister for the period from 11 June 2020 to 14 September 2024, Syrian Arab Republic.

He held a number of positions, including:

• Minister of Water Resources between November 2018 and August 2020.
• Minister of Public Works and Housing between 2016 and 2018.
• Minister of Public Works between 2013 and 2016 before the Ministries of Public Works and Housing and Urban Development were merged in 2016.
• Governor of Quneitra.
• Governor of Deir ez-Zor between 2009 and 2011.
• Director General of the Public Authority for Road Transport between 2004 and 2009.
• Deputy Minister of Transport between 2002 and 2004.
• General Manager of the General Company for Roads between 1992 and 2002.
• Head of the Engineers Syndicate, Idlib branch, between 1989 and 1994.
• Director of the General Roads Company branch between 1983 and 1992.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 1978 from the University of Aleppo .
