He is the Chairman of Jotun UAE Limited, Jotun Powder Coatings, a member of the Board of Trustees of the British University in Dubai, the American University in the Emirates, and the Vice Chairman of the Oilfields Supply Centre Limited and Al Nasr Leisureland Complex.

He is also a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), a member of the Board of Directors of Dragon Oil Company since January 19, 2017, National Bank of Fujairah , Mawarid Finance Company, a member of Marsh Emirates Insurance Brokerage Company, and Mawarid Finance Company.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of Emirates NBD .

He started his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, and worked in the diplomatic corps. He also joined several financial institutions, where he was an international affairs advisor at the Bank of the Middle East.

He served on the boards of directors of several banks, such as Dubai Islamic Bank, Emirates Financial Services, Deyaar Properties, Gulf Marine Energy, and other leading institutions and companies inside and outside the country. He was also the Head of Investment Affairs at the Office of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1971 from the University of Jordan , and a Master’s degree in International Relations in 1982 from the University of Southern California in the United States of America.
