Project Manager of the Emirates Mars Exploration Project “Hope Probe” since July 2014, United Arab Emirates.

He has been Chairman of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space since June 1, 2022, and Senior Director of Program Development at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center . He is also a member of the UAE delegation to the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems, and a lecturer at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research .

He held several tasks at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre , including: establishing the “Electronic and Electrical Systems Team”, the “Project Management Office”, in addition to establishing the “Space Image Processing and Analysis Department” and the “Technical Software Development Department”.

He worked on managing and processing data for the Dubai Sat 1 subsystem, and led the electrical and electronic team for the Dubai Sat 2 satellite project. He was also the Director of the Space Image Processing and Analysis Department at the Emirates Institution for Advanced Sciences and Technology between 2011 and 2014.

He represented the UAE at the meetings of the United Nations Office for the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, and contributed to the development of the initial stages of the KhalifaSat project.

Winner of the “Emirates Pride Medal” for developing satellite control systems and ground station at the “ Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center ” in 2019, as part of the 5th cycle of the “Mohammed Bin Rashid Award for Excellence in Government Performance.”

He holds a Master’s degree in Science and Technology Policy in 2013 from the World Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005 from the University of Virginia in the United States of America.
