He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Development Fund . He served as CEO of the “Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector” and Deputy Director-General of the same institution in 2001, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Mauritanian Investment Group.” He also served as a member of the “Islamic Development Bank Group,” and held the position of Chief Economist at the “Public Investment Fund.” In 2000, he was appointed Director of the International Financial Institutions Department in the Ministry of Finance in 1982, and Alternate Executive Director for Saudi Arabia in the “World Bank Group” in Washington, USA in 1997, and Assistant Alternate Executive Director in the same group in 1995. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics in 1987. from Northeastern University in the United States, and a BA in Economics in 1982 from King Saud University.
