Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority with the rank of Department Chairman since December 2018, United Arab Emirates. She is the Chairperson and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Sharjah Education Academy since December 9, 2021. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Mediclinic Middle East since November 2017, the Emirates Nursing and Midwifery Council since November 2013, the Emirates Genetic Diseases Association , and a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Sharjah since February 2014, and a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee at the same university. She held several positions at the Higher Colleges of Technology , including: Director of Sharjah Women's College between 2016 and 2018, Executive Dean of Health Sciences between 2013 and 2017, Director of Sharjah Men's College and Sharjah Women's College between 2013 and 2016. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Al Jalila Foundation between 2012 and 2015, the Dubai College of Dental Medicine between 2012 and 2015, and a member of the Research and Education Committee at the Dubai Healthcare City Authority between 2011 and 2015. She was the CEO of both the Mohammed Bin Rashid Academic Medical Complex between 2010 and 2013, and Dubai Healthcare City between 2006 and 2008, Deputy CEO of Tatweer Company between 2008 and 2009, and Educational Director of Harvard Medical School in the Dubai Center between 2005 and 2006. She has over 20 years of experience in the education, healthcare, operations and financial management sectors. She won the Sharjah Award for Volunteer Work in 2017. She holds a PhD in Public Health and Epidemiology in 2004 from the University of Texas Health Science Center in the United States of America, a Master’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science in 1992 from the University of Minnesota in the same country, and a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology in 1989 from the same university.
