He was a member of the Board of Directors of Damac Properties, UAE, between 2016 and 2020. He held the position of CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government between 2005 and 2009, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the same school, Director General of the Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum between 2001 and 2009, Director of Strategy and Business Development at the Emirates Petroleum Products Company between 1999 and 2001, and Head of Industrial Projects at Dubai Islamic Bank between 1992 and 1999.

He was selected as one of the Young Global Leaders in 2010 by the World Economic Forum.

He holds an MBA in 2000 from the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom, a Master of Science in Operations Research in 1992 from the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States, and a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering in 1991 from the University of Arizona in the same country.
