He has over 33 years of experience in banking and Islamic banking.

He held the position of CEO of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Group between January 9, 2022 and March 4, 2024.

He held several positions at Dubai Islamic Bank and its subsidiaries, including: Head of Retail Banking between 2018 and 2022, Head of Strategic Relationships between 2013 and 2018, Head of Business Development at Tamweel Company, a subsidiary of the bank, between 2011 and 2013, CEO at Dubai Islamic Financial Services Company, a subsidiary of the bank, between 2009 and 2011, General Manager at Emirates Finance Company, a subsidiary of the bank, between 2001 and 2003, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Abu Dhabi and the Western Region, Regional Head for the Northern Emirates between 1994 and 2001, and Assistant Unit Manager between 1984 and 1988.

He also worked as a senior auditor at the Audit Bureau between 1988 and 1994.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Accounting in 1998 from Al Ain University .
