He held the position of CEO of “Bank of Africa and the Gulf” between 2020 and 2021, Chief Operating Officer of "Bank One" in Mauritius between 2018 and 2020, “Barclays Africa Group Limited” in South Africa between 2014 and 2017, and “Barclays Bank Egypt” between 2011 and 2013.

He served as Regional Head of Emerging Markets Operations at Barclays Bank between 2007 and 2011, and held several positions at Citibank Group, including: Head of Corporate and Investment Banking Supervision in the Middle East and North Africa, Head of Consumer Loans Business in Egypt, Branch Manager in Pakistan, and Sales Manager for Consumer Loans in the same country.

He holds a Masters in Marketing in 1997 from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.
