He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Wales and the United Kingdom.

He held several positions in the Savola Group, including: Executive Director of Finance and Treasury Management, Executive Director of Finance and Assistant General Manager of Finance Affairs. He also worked before that in the field of insurance services and consulting work at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

He has over 20 years of experience in financial management, finance, accounting, strategy development and information technology.

He holds a Masters in Commerce from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and also holds professional certifications in Chartered Accountancy.
