He held a number of positions at First Abu Dhabi Bank , including: Chief Financial Officer of Islamic Banking Services between 2019 and 2024, Head of Group Integration of Finance and Treasury between December 2017 and February 2019, and Head of Group Financial Control between April 2015 and November 2017.

He also held the position of Financial Controller for the Middle East and North Africa region and CFO in Saudi Arabia at Barclays between 2013 and 2015, CFO at Deutsche Bank and Deutsche Securities in Saudi Arabia between 2007 and 2013, Deputy CFO at Citibank N.A. in Pakistan between 2002 and 2007, and Assistant Manager of Audit and Business Advisory Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the UAE between 2000 and 2002.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance in 1994 from the University of Karachi in Pakistan, and a Certified Public Accountant (ACA) certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
