Governor of Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia since 2019.

He has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Riyadh Aviation Company since March 12, 2023, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Aramco since September 2, 2019, and an advisor to the General Secretariat of the Saudi Council of Ministers since 2016.

He has also been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sanabil Investments since 2017, Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden) since September 28, 2019, the Future Investment Initiative Foundation, Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Newcastle United English Club since October 2021, and a member of the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants.

He has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Saudi National Museum since April 21, 2020, and a member of the Board of Directors of Uber Technologies since 2016, and Qiddiya Investment Company.

He started his career at Alawwal Bank, previously known as Saudi Hollandi Bank, and held several senior positions in its departments until he became the Director of the International Brokerage Department. In 2004, he joined the Capital Market Authority as a member of the founding team and was appointed Director of the Corporate Finance Department at the Authority in 2008.

He held the position of CEO and Board Member of Saudi Fransi Capital between 2011 and 2015, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) between 2014 and 2015, SoftBank Group Corp. between 2017 and 2020, and Saudi Industrial Development Fund.

He has over 25 years of experience working in several major financial institutions in the Kingdom.

He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from King Faisal University , and a certificate in the Public Administration Program from Harvard Business School in the United States of America.
