General information
The Gulf Investment Corporation was established in Kuwait on November 15, 1983.
As the first financial institution to be established under the auspices of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), GIC has been a pioneering investor in the development of the GCC region since its inception. Through direct investments, the corporation has made significant contributions to the economies of GCC member states by developing key energy and industrial projects.
GIC is a founding partner of Tristar Holding Limited in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), United Arab Emirates.
