Watania International Holding, formerly Dar Al Takaful, was established in July 2008 and listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) in August 2008.
As an investment holding company, Wataniya aims to expand its presence through Sharia-compliant investments while maintaining its Takaful portfolio through its subsidiaries. The company is the sole shareholder of Wataniya Takaful General (formerly Noor Takaful General) and Wataniya Takaful Family (formerly Noor Takaful Family).
On June 17, 2022, the merger between Wataniya International Holding and Wataniya Takaful was approved, with Wataniya International Holding becoming the surviving entity. The company has branch offices in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
