He has also been the First Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry since July 25, 2021, Vice Chairman of the Higher Education Sports Federation since 2008, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Ali Bin Harmal Educational Award , the Bin Harmal Center for the Memorization of the Holy Quran , and the Liwa International School since 1994, Founder and President of Abu Dhabi University since January 2001, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the same university since 2013.

He holds a PhD in Business Administration from Durham University in the United Kingdom, a Master’s degree in the same specialization in 2001 from the American University in Washington, DC, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1997 from the United Arab Emirates University .
