General information
Khalifa University was established in February 2007 by decree of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to support the Abu Dhabi 2030 Strategic Plan to build a knowledge-based economy that effectively contributes to the nation's continued development.
It is a research university with three faculties, three research institutes, 18 research centers, and 17 departments covering a wide range of disciplines in science, engineering, and medicine.
