Al-Mahmoud holds a number of positions, including:

• Member of the Board of Trustees of the National Center for Space Science and Technology since December 2017.
• Member of the Advisory Board of the Emirates ICT Innovation Centre ( EBTIC ) since February 2018.
• Member of the Executive Committee of the “Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Learning Program” since July 2013.
• Founder of The Intellect since September 2019.

He served as Director of Technology Investments at Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority between 2009 and 2011, Communications Engineer at Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority between 2007 and 2009, and Member of the Advisory and Decision-Making Committee at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund between 2016 and 2021.

He has given numerous lectures on entrepreneurship and knowledge-based economies at various forums and events, and has hosted his own weekly radio show for over 4 years on the latest technological developments.

He has experience in the fields of Internet technologies, satellites, fiber optics, wired and wireless communications, marketing, sales and business management for technology companies.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering from Khalifa University, and a Diploma in Public Innovation from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.
