He has been the Director General of the Dubai Government's Department of Finance since 2009, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Financial Support Fund , the Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai , and the Education Foundation , Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of the UAE since December 16, 2018, and the Dubai Investment Fund since December 11, 2023, and Vice Chairman of the The Supreme Financial Policy Committee in the Emirate of Dubai since September 2026.

He is a member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai , a member of the Strategic Affairs Council of the same council, a member of the Supreme Committee for Fiscal Policy in the Emirate of Dubai, and a member of the Board of Directors of Dragon Oil Company since January 19, 2017, Dubai World Group , the Federal Tax Authority , Emirates National Oil Company ( ENOC ), and the Investment Corporation of Dubai .

He served as the first Executive Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs at Dubai Customs Department , and chaired a number of committees within the same entity, including:

• Value Added Tax Committee.
• Staff Affairs Committee.
• Executive Credit Policy Committee.
• Development and Modernization Program Committee.
• Information Technology Steering Committee.

He also supervised and participated in a number of different regulatory and strategic committees, including the Executive Credit Policy Committee and the Indirect Taxes Working Group, and was a member of the “Supreme Committee for Regulating the Auditing Profession” in the UAE.

He holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from the American University of Sharjah , and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the United Kingdom.
