First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance in the federal government of the United Arab Emirates.

Sheikh Maktoum has been the First Deputy Ruler of Dubai since April 28, 2023, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance since September 25, 2021.

He was appointed Chairman of the Court of His Highness Ruler of Dubai in May 2021.

Sheikh Maktoum holds a number of positions, including:

• Chairman of General Budget Committee since October 12, 2021.
• Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Tax Authority since October 12, 2021.
• Second Deputy Chairman of the Dubai Council since January 2020.
• First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai since August 14, 2008.
• Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Investments Fund since December 11, 2023.
• Chairman of the Strategic Affairs Council of the Executive Council of Dubai.
• Chairman of the Higher Committee for Supreme Legislation Committee in Dubai
• Chairman of the Dubai Judicial Council.
• Chairman of the Higher Committee for Government Sector Development in Dubai since 2020.
• Chairman of Dubai Markets Supervisory Committee and specialized courts for capital markets in Dubai
• Chairman of the Higher Committee for Real Estate Planning in Dubai.
• Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Investment Corporation.
• Chairman of the Board of Directors of the  the Dubai International Financial Centre.
• Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Development Authority.
• Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Real State Corporation.
• Member of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives.

He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the American University in Dubai, after which he joined several training courses at the Dubai School of Government and Harvard University.
